New standard for Solar XXL
What is the new concept behind the Brandenburg-manufactured high-tech system from Parabel? The answer is simple. It's the smart heat energy manager for the whole building. Conventionally designed solar power systems are usually conceived as preheating systems and only indirectly connected to the heating system via backup tanks. They work on the basis of the "solar yield – store – use" principle which is not very successful in multi-storey dwellings since the preheated water taken from the backup tanks normally has to be reheated. In multiple dwellings in particular, which have different thermal load profiles to detached houses, this leads to uneconomical operation of boiler systems. The Juri Solar Heating Manager is different. It uses heat exchangers to link either the fossil-fuel boilers that were previously operated separately or a district heating distribution station with the solar power system to form a unified heating system with two heat sources. The system is controlled according to the principle of immediate consumption before storage and systematically prioritises solar heat. Since it costs nothing. The core of the new technical standard is not just a bit of hydraulics, but a complete heat energy management system based on highly sophisticated control technology. The solar energy is supplied to the areas where the greatest savings can be made, as needs dictate and according to weather conditions. This might be domestic hot water or water for the heating system – or the domestic water peak load tank and the backup tank.
