5.3 MW Horka solar park completed

On 20 October, the 5.3 MW solar park in Saxony (Germany) was connected to the grid on schedule. Almost 23,000 solar modules from Trina Solar were installed on the previously unused, approximately 12-hectare site in the Horka industrial and commercial zone. These are enough to meet the electricity needs of around 1,400 households.

Solar is the way forward for conversion sites

The numerous military installations in both the eastern and western German federal states that have been decommissioned have in many cases become publicly owned, but with no concept in place for their utilisation. As a partner for federal states and local authorities as well as private investors, Parabel offers the development and realisation of photovoltaic utilisation concepts for conversion sites. This gives decommissioned sites and those that are not suitable for other uses a new and beneficial lease of life.
